Last full day.... :o(

Oooooh it’s a sad, sad day in Maui. This is our last night here on the islands, which also means it’s our final H & H blog. Heidi and I are sitting in the parental’s condo right now, sipping our "Heidi Specials" (pina colada blended with a banana), letting our Mexican food digest, and reminiscing about our lovely adventures in Maui. We really can’t believe we’ve been here for 7 days now...
Today started out just like any other day at Maui. We woke up at 8:20, did the usual coffee and breakfast with the parentals, and then went back to our much cooler condo to pack up our crap to move in with the parents for our last night here. We then enjoyed another day out on the beach. Heidi went snorkeling and tried to even out her sunburn (Heidi says I wouldn’t go with her..whatever).
Heidi here.. Does everyone remember a blog ago when Hillary said she was going to go snorkeling with me and protect me from the octopus? Yes, well she DIDNT She wouldn’t go with me, so I had to go all alone, out into the deep blue ocean and risk getting my face sucked off by some sea creature. So, in turn, I was not able to swim out as far because I was scared. I tried to tell myself that everything would be okay, but when I started to become surrounded by reef and fish and tropical creatures... I got a little overwhelmed and swam back in. So can we all just say for the record.. Hillary sucks. Thanks. Okay. Back to Hillary. (Poo).
Ummm ok, I’m back. I didn’t even KNOW Heidi was going snorkeling...I was talking to the bo-frend and showering and whatnot and I didn’t even know she was venturing out into the ocean alone. Salt water is gross anyway. So ANYWAYS... Today was another beautiful Maui day (don’t you believe those news stories about flooding and torrential rain in Hawaii...Maui has been just fine!). It was sooooo sunny this morning. Here is a visual to give you an example of this perfect Maui day...
After relaxing around the condo all day, we made some margaritas here in the condo (it was mom’s idea to "pre-funk") and went out to dinner at Fred’s, a Mexican cantina down the road. That is where the craziness began... Heidi and I shared an entire pitcher of Strawberry margarita, and since we are somewhat lesbiany, we just drank out of straws instead of actually pouring the margarita into our glasses...
Mom was just sucking down those drinks, but she kept insisting "mine’s just ice!!" We even got DAD in on the margarita action. Now let me just say that in my entire 24 years of living, I have never witnessed my father drink hard alcohol. It goes against his "Buddhist ways." But apparently, Maui brings out the bad boy in him. Oh, he took a sip alright. In fact, he took a couple sips, which is definitely considered "heavy drinking" in his book. Right now he is teetering off the edge of the lanai, shouting obscenities. OK, not really, but you get the idea.
Heidi here now...So tonight,... well are all hyped up on mexican food (aka beans) and are lucky enough to get to spend the night together in this tiny little condo. We have a hide-a-bed for two AND an air mattress/aero bed mattress! Right now, its still up in the air who’s where but still... doesn’t that sounds fun?
No really, I mean despite the fact that we have probably overdone the family togetherness this has been a great trip. Sure Hillary has spent like 40% of the trip with her cell phone glued to her head, and sure, Patti is a little obsessed with our blog. Here is a picture of her grabbing for my camera saying "don’t post that on the blog, Heidi, don’t post that! Heidi if you post that your going to get a bill in the mail next week for this trip!"
Laura was lucky enough to come down with a cold. Who knew you could catch a cold in Maui, but she’s doped up on DayQuil, so she’s alright. David finished his super exciting vacation book about Overuse of Prescription Medications, and I’ve read two books myself and Hillary has moved on to her second "word search" book. Pretty much, yeah, well we are under like NO stress in Maui. This place is great.
So right now, we are sitting on the couch, Hillary is on my left doing a word search, I am blogging and Laura is on my right watching 8Th & Ocean. The big bad adults are bogarting the Lanai so we sit here watching crappy shows about models on MTV. Oh my god, Sabrina has a PIIIMPLE. She should just end it all,...
So anuyway, I guess there really isnt that much to blog about tonight. We just had another Lazy Maui day and didn’t really cause too much havok. We’ll let you know how the sleeping situation works out, and we’ll also keep you posted if someone has to hold David or Patti’s hair back tonight. (Lush’s)
So goodnight everyone! We’ve had a blast in Maui and are very sad to leave but we also cannot wait to get back to the "mainland" and see our loved ones!! (Justin & Jon) Aloha everyone and see you all back in Oregon in less than 24 hours!
